Welcome to the Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) section of the Yolo County Transportation District web site. In order to save you time, we have posted FAQ's here from web users. Q: How much does it cost to ride the bus? Are discounts or passes available?
A: A regular bus fare for Yolobus one way is $1.50. Regular discount fare would be 75 cents one way. Passes and discounts are available through the Yolo County Transportation District Customer Service Department. Click here for a complete list of all prices. Q: Where can I get information on the Airport Service?
A: Information on the Airport Service can be found on this website by clicking here, or you may call Yolobus at (530)666-2877.

Q: I’m traveling to/from UCD. Which bus should I ride?
A: From Winters you can take Route 220; from Woodland, Routes 42 or 242; from Downtown Sacramento, W. Sacramento or Davis, use Route 42. You can also access Unitrans. Click here for route and schedule information. or call 752-BUSS (2877).

Q: I’m traveling to/from Downtown Sacramento. Which bus should I ride?
A: If you are traveling to Downtown Sacramento from Woodland, Davis W.Sacramento or the Sacramento Airport, you can access Route 42 all day, seven days a week. From W. Sacramento, please call Yolobus at 1-800-371-2877 to find out if Routes 39, 40 or 41 are close to your area to access Downtown Sacramento. If you work in Downtown Sacramento, you might try our Express Lines 43, 44, 230 or 231 for Davis Commuters and for the Express Line 45 for Woodland commuters. Q: I’m traveling to/from the Sacramento Rivercats baseball games. Which bus should I ride?
A: From the Davis and Woodland area to a River Cats game, you can board Route 42. to arrive within close walking distance of Raley Field. West Sacramento residents can utilize Route 35, Route 40 and Route 41 to arrive within walking distance of the ballpark.

Q: I’m traveling to/from Cache Creek Casino. Which bus should I ride?
A: For Service to Cache Creek you would access Route 215. This route runs seven days a week (including holidays). We provide 5 round trips daily, originating from the County Fair Mall in Woodland. Click here for route and schedule information.

Q: I believe that I left an item behind when I rode the bus. Who should I contact for Lost and Found?
A: For Lost and Found, please contact Yolobus in the Davis/Woodland area at (530)666-2877 or, outside of the area, call 1-800-371-2877.

Q: Is your bus available for charter service?
A: Yolobus is not available for charter service.

Q: How can I request printed schedules?
A: You can request printed schedules by calling Yolo County Transportation District Customer Service Department at (530)661-0816.

Q: Can I bring my pet on the bus?
A: Animals are not allowed on the bus, except those trained to assist their disabled owners.

Q: I know that Yolobus can transport my bike while I ride the bus but what is the process?
A: All Yolobuses have bicycle racks for up to 2 bikes. They’re available on a first come first serve basis.

Q: What is a Group Pass?
A: A Group Pass is a convenient way for groups of individuals to purchase bus fare for a group trip utilizing Yolobus strictly as Public Transportation and its available fixed routes. For details, please call Customer Service at YCTD (530)661-0816.

Q: Will Yolobus exchange links with my Web page?
A: Please call Customer Service at (530)661-0816, make the request, giving a detailed description of your Web Site and we will consider your request for exchanging links.

Q: I’m traveling to/from CSUS?
A: To travel to CSUS you can access Route 42 from the cities of Woodland, Davis and W. Sacramento to J St. in Downtown Sacramento. From here, you transfer onto the “Dash”, a Regional Transit service that runs every 15 – 30 minutes out to the University. Click here for route and schedule information.

Q: Does Yolobus travel to Sacramento Kings games?
A: Yolobus does not provide service to Arco Arena.

Q: How do I get a transfer pass if I’m continuing on to a Sacramento RT bus?
A: You can obtain a transfer from the Yolobus driver to continue your trip onto the Sacramento RT system for 50 cents. Seniors and disabled passengers pay 25 cents for a transfer (transfer is valid for up to 2 hours after purchase). Click here for more information.

Q: Does Yolobus operate on weekends and holidays?
A: Yolobus operates on weekends and holidays. Please check the particular route you are interested in taking by checking further on this web site or you may call Yolobus at (530)666-2877. Limited service is available on some holidays.

Q: Does Yolobus have a connection to the Bay area?
A: Route 42 arrives within reasonable distance of Davis and Sacramento Amtrak Stations – you could travel to the Bay area by train.

Q: How many buses does Yolobus operate?
A: Yolobus operates with 32 Clean Natural Gas buses and 10 paratransit vehicles.

A: Our Customer Service Department is more than happy to assist you in planning your next bus trip, you can either call Yolobus at (530)666-2877 or Yolo County Transportation District at (530)661-0816.
